Merry Christmas!

photo

Last year for Christmas my parents bought me an awesome set of pots and pans that I was so excited about…they are a set of cookware that I should have been able to use for the rest of my life with no problem.

The problem?  Well, it’s a long story but in a nutshell, everything sticks to them, they are a less quality product than the typical for that company, and the only thing they will do is exchange them for THE EXACT SAME SET which has a 100% probability that I will have the same problem with them…so we will be returning them and, in the mean time, they were very kind and generous enough to get me this years present early…a Rachel Ray set of adonized pots and pans.

I have to say, this is the only thing in my kitchen allowed to NOT have a red theme…they are orange…they don’t come in red.

THESE pots and pans got all 4 and 5 star reviews (and there are more than 230) on amazon and the set that had 4 more items in it had only two 3 star reviews and those were: (1) They do what they say they do; and (2) I bought these used and a piece came to me broken and doesn’t work properly

So, I figure with (1) that unless these things cooked by themselves, which would be MORE than what the product says it does, then in that person’s view, there is no reason to give more than an “average” score.

I take into consideration that the person bought these USED…and probably the person before her (actually obviously as a piece was broken) didn’t use them properly and could be why they don’t work well for her; plus in her review she indicated that the rest of the set works perfectly!

My husband’s cousin also has a set and she loves them!

Lastly, although Rachel Ray is not my favorite tv personality, I do know that the quality of what her name is put onto is very important to her and everything I’ve heard, these pots and pans stand true to that.

So, although I have not yet cooked with them (I mean, come on, it wasn’t until after 7:30 tonight that I got home and I am so not going to make something this late…I mean, I have to weigh in tomorrow morning.

However, tomorrow night?  I am so breaking in these new pots and pans.

Anyone have this set?  What do you think of them?  Ever got a set of cookware that was supposed to be great and ended up sorely disappointed?

  1. What kind of guarantee do you have on these? The Pampered Chef cookware has a lifetime guarantee on them. They still replace cookware that is no longer in their current product line that has the lifetime guarantee as well. Good luck!

  2. I made sure it was lifetime...the others were lifetime as well; but they would only replace with the exact same pans that would continue to stick!

  3. I have been very lucky with my pans. I mean my first set I got when married, 23 years ago lasted probably 20 years. I recently bought new pans and they too are doing a great job!! Knocking on wood!!!
