No Beauty

That face my be no beauty, but he has captured my love…I’m not kidding!

How can you not love a face like that?  Substrate all over his nose from digging in a whole…look of admiration on his face because he knows that my presence just might mean food…and you should see the excitement when we open the top to drop in some crickets!

Okay, so he loves us for our food…but I love him because he is adorable!

THAT is a face that doesn’t call for immediate love…but it is a face you grow to love.

Plus, it’s just fascinating to watch him and to study every little detail.  The shape of his face, the way the light comes through in the bright sun, the way the hands move as he climbs…I could stare at him for hours!

I never thought I would be a reptile lover; but this guy has changed me.

Oh, I don’t love ALL the reptiles, but geckos?  And probably other small lizards as well. 

You can keep your snakes and large lizards…and although I appreciate turtles, I’ll leave them to my BFF…but Geckos are awesome!
